Basketball Recap: Perspectives Leadership/Technology's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Perspectives Leadership/Technology won the last time they faced Simeon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Simeon Wolverines, sneaking past 51-48. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won five matches in a row.

Leading Perspectives Leadership/Technology to victory were Catrina Sanders and Karla Thomas. Sanders went 8 of 9 on her way to 19 points and five steals, while Thomas dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Morgan, who posted five points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Simeon still got an impressive performance from Dijona Berrien, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most points Berrien has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Janiya Pillow, who put up eight points.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Simeon, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology will welcome Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Simeon, they will venture away from home to take on Amundsen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
