Basketball Recap: Godwin Takes a Loss

Godwin lost against Hermitage back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Godwin Eagles came up short against the Hermitage Panthers, falling 63-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Panthers since February 18, 2020.

Godwin moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Hermitage, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Godwin will host Deep Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hermitage, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hermitage Panthers challenge the J.R. Tucker Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. J.R. Tucker will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Hermitage surely won't give up without a fight.
