Softball Recap: Central Valley Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Central Valley challenged Atwater on Friday. The Hawks fell 10-6 to the Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Reylena Herrera was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Central Valley now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Atwater, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Central Valley will challenge Merced at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Atwater, they will take on Orestimba at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
