Baseball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-6 to the Wesson Cobras. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cobras since on Tuesday.

Franklin County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Judson Arnold, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. The Bulldogs are 4-1 when Arnold posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

Franklin County's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-8. As for Wesson, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

While Franklin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
