Lovell faced Lyman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 25-22. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

A big part of Lovell's win came down to the chemistry between Rocco Rael and his top target Cutler Wilkerson. Rael rushed for 128 yards while Wilkerson rushed for 75 yards and three scores.

Lovell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 245 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory got Lovell back to even at 2-2. As for Lyman, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
