Volleyball Recap: Jim Thorpe Falls Despite Big Games from Remy Gorski and Maura Malaska

Jim Thorpe lost against Northwestern Lehigh back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Olympians came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-15.

Jim Thorpe's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maura Malaska, who had 14 digs and nine assists, and Remy Gorski, who had 15 digs and one block. Gorski is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Jim Thorpe has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Northwestern Lehigh, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
