Baseball Recap: Hopkins Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Hopkins Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Greenfield Green Wave. The Golden Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Green Wave, too.

Hopkins Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Greenfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Hopkins Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-6 loss against Agawam on the 11th. As for Greenfield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-5 defeat against Turners Falls on the 11th.
