Softball Recap: Cleveland Heights' Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Cleveland Heights had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Garfield Heights Bulldogs 18-3 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Jeaux Snead was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Snead was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jasmine Betti, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryan McMahon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one RBI.

Cleveland Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Cleveland Heights' win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Garfield Heights, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-6.
