Basketball Recap: Wylie East Snags 11th Victory in Last 13 Games

Wylie East won the last time they faced Lakeview Centennial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wylie East Raiders strolled past the Lakeview Centennial Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 58-39. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Patriots are ranked 631st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wylie East has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for Lakeview Centennial, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Wylie East and Lakeview Centennial will both be playing North Garland the next time they take the court. Lakeview Centennial will host North Garland at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Wylie East will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
