There's no place like home for Somerset Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Cypress Bay Lightning 62-29 on Friday. Somerset Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Chardae Rumph, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points along with six rebounds and six steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sariyah Sabb, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Somerset Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cypress Bay only racked up eight assists.

Sofia Gonano and Ellie McKinney certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Gonano had 12 points, while McKinney earned six points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks gave McKinney a new career-high.

Somerset Prep's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cypress Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Somerset Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-39 loss against Somerset Academy - Canyons on the 18th. Cypress Bay has also already played their next contest, a 53-38 win against Norland on the 18th.
