Cyler Notter commands the offense for Eagles win

Recap: Stratton Eagles vs. Burlington Cougars

The Stratton Eagles waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They walked away with a 71-62 victory over Burlington. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Stratton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cyler Notter, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Notter hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Von Isenbart was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, Burlington still got an impressive performance from Keziah Williams, who almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Williams has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stanton Cure, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.

Stratton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Burlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Stratton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-50 defeat vs. Simla on the 9th. Burlington has also already played their next game, a 63-37 victory against Evangel Christian Academy on the 10th.
