            Volleyball Recap: Northwestern Tigers vs. Whitko Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            It was a proper cat-fight when Northwestern faced off against Whitko on Thursday. The Tigers took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
 Northwestern started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-17, 25-17,  25-17.
 Ayla Jackson paced Northwestern's offense, picking up nine kills. Jackson got some help from  Nahla Smith and her 27 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with five aces.
 Among those leading the charge was   Isabelle Harman, who  had 14  digs and two  aces. That's the most  digs  she has posted  over her last two  matchups.
Northwestern dropped their record down to 3-7 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Whitko, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
 Northwestern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  3-0  victory against Kokomo on the 9th. As for Whitko, they have also already played their next contest,  a  3-1  loss against Peru on the 9th.
