Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Lutheran Eagles vs. Cedar Park Christian Lions

After both having extra time off, the Evergreen Lutheran Eagles and the Cedar Park Christian Lions will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Evergreen Lutheran's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Cedar Park Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Evergreen Lutheran's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Sound Christian offense got past them. Evergreen Lutheran was dealt a 59-32 loss at the hands of Sound Christian two weeks ago. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Cedar Park Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 36-29 to Grace Academy back in December of 2024. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 8-4 in the first quarter.

Having lost for the first time this season, Evergreen Lutheran fell to 4-1. As for Cedar Park Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
