Softball Recap: Sumner Takes a Loss

Sumner lost against Orono back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell 5-1 to the Riots.

Sumner has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Orono, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumner will host Narraguagus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Orono, they will take on Houlton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
