Basketball Recap: Madill Comes Up Short

Madill was the 48-35 winner over Plainview when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Madill Wildcats had to suffer through a 69-33 loss at the hands of the Plainview Indians. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Madill lost on Tuesday, don't look at Cash Cooper. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Cooper a new career-high in steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Madill and nudges their season record down to 5-16. As for Plainview, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Madill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-57 victory against Byng on the 14th. Plainview has also already played their next game (against Marietta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
