Volleyball Recap: Erie Takes a Loss

Erie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Baxter Springs Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Erie was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22.

Erie's loss dropped their record down to 16-19. As for Baxter Springs, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-13.

Erie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Southern Coffey County on the 14th. As for Baxter Springs, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Columbus on the 14th.
