Volleyball Recap: Barack Obama School for Social Justice Has No Trouble Against Riverside

Barack Obama School for Social Justice's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Riverside Rams. The Lightning were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Rams, so the Lightning were just returning the favor.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice never let Riverside on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-23.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive matchups.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Barack Obama School for Social Justice will take on Ramapo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will be paying especially close attention to the Lightning's contest: after the Lightning face off against Hamilton, they'll take on Riverside again at 4:00 p.m. on October 22.
