Softball Game Preview: Philo Electrics vs. Morgan Raiders

For the second straight game, Philo will face off against Morgan. The Electrics will venture away from home to take on the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Philo took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over Morgan.

Lexie Charles made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off 13 hits. Charles was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with five RBI.

In other batting news, Philo got a massive performance out of Kyleigh McGraw, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and five RBI. That's the most RBI McGraw has posted since back in April of 2024. Lia Unger was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Philo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Philo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
