Soccer Game Preview: St. James vs. Lexington

The St. James Sharks will be taking part in a tournament against the Lexington Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

St. James is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Wando just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The loss was the Sharks' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Lexington had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to Eastside.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. James fell to 3-1. As for Lexington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

St. James came up short against Lexington in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can St. James avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
