North Caroline had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-7 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past the St. Michaels Saints 2-1. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 14-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for St. Michaels, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.
