Colquitt County had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 56-point drubbing they dealt Monroe on Friday. The Packers took their game with ease, bagging a 56-0 victory over the Golden Tornadoes. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Packers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Golden Tornadoes are ranked 185th).

Colquitt County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colquitt County will challenge North Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Monroe, they will take on Dothan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
