Breathitt County came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Lee County as they made off with a 12-2 win. Breathitt County not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24th (when they won 11-0).

Breathitt County let Aiden Combs and Wyatt Spencer run wild. Combs went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Spencer went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave Spencer a new career-high. Sebastian Howard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Breathitt County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-11. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lee County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Coming up, Breathitt County will welcome Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lee County, they will square off against Wolfe County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
