Basketball Game Preview: Kirtland Hornets vs. Lake Center Christian Tiger

The Kirtland Hornets will be taking part in a tournament against the Lake Center Christian Tiger at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Kirtland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-45 to Chagrin Falls. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-38, which was the final score in Lake Center Christian's tilt against John F. Kennedy Catholic on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Tiger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 740th, while the Eagles are ranked 173rd).

Lake Center Christian dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Kirtland, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
