Baseball Recap: Random Lake Has No Trouble Against Kohler

Random Lake barely beat Kohler the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Blue Bombers 7-1 on Monday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Decker Kleppin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Verbanac, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Reed Traas, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Random Lake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season. As for Kohler, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Random Lake beat the Blue Bombers by a score of 8-6 on Thursday.
