Basketball Recap: North Fort Myers Victorious

North Fort Myers won the last time they faced Ida Baker, and Isaiah Newson did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the North Fort Myers Red Knights' way against the Ida Baker Bulldogs on Friday as the North Fort Myers Red Knights made off with a 71-46 victory thanks in part to Newson, who posted 25 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Defeat or not, Ida Baker got some senior leadership from West Powell and Marcus Quick. Powell earned 17 points, while Quick put up 12 points.

North Fort Myers' win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Ida Baker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

North Fort Myers will welcome Mariner at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Ida Baker, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-46 loss against LaBelle on the 10th.
