Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Comes Up Short

Hilton Head Prep lost against Patrick Henry Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dolphins fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. While the Dolphins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-21 in the first set.

Hilton Head Prep took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 17-25, 25-15, 15-6.

Kaitlyn Carrillo was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Hilton Head Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Patrick Henry Academy, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

Coming up, Patrick Henry Academy will take on Branchville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hilton Head Prep will be paying especially close attention to the Patriots' match: after the Patriots face off against the Yellow Jackets, they'll take on Hilton Head Prep again at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
