Softball Game Preview: Shawnee Redskins vs. Meridian Bobcats

The Shawnee Redskins will head out to challenge the Meridian Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawnee has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Shawnee's offense. They came up short against Galatia/Thompsonville on Monday, falling 13-0.

Meanwhile, Meridian came up short against Cobden on Monday and fell 7-3. The Bobcats have struggled against the Appleknockers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Shawnee, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything went Shawnee's way against Meridian when the teams last played back in March, as Shawnee made off with a 21-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
