Basketball Game Preview: Juarez-Lincoln Huskies vs. Palmview Lobos

Juarez-Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Palmview recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Juarez-Lincoln Huskies will host the Palmview Lobos at 6:00 p.m.

Juarez-Lincoln is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Martin, falling 82-39.

Meanwhile, Palmview had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They blew past the Toros 57-36. The Lobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Palmview's win came from a few key players Juarez-Lincoln will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nicole Flores, who posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alia Garza, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Palmview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Palmview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Juarez-Lincoln took a serious blow against Palmview in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 74-17. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Juarez-Lincoln was down 42-11.
