Lincoln fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Pleasant Plains on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Railsplitters' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Pleasant Plains, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Auburn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pleasant Plains, they will face off against Father McGivney Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
