Baseball Recap: Dunham Gets the Win

Dunham posted their closest victory since March 23, 2024 on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Zachary Broncos 8-7. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 9-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brooklyn Gremillion made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent over his last five contests. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabe Greene, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Tyler Sotile also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Dunham and bumps their season record up to 6-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Zachary, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8-1.
