Soccer Recap: Cathedral Takes a Loss

After flying high against Richmond last Saturday, Cathedral came back down to earth. The Cathedral Phantoms might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the JSerra Catholic Lions an easy 5-2 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Phantoms of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2021.

Sebastian Tinoco wasn't going to let JSerra Catholic walk away unscathed as he scored both of Cathedral's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for JSerra Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Servite the next time they take the pitch. Cathedral will head out to face Servite at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, while JSerra Catholic will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
