Baseball Recap: Jamesville-Dewitt Snaps 15-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Jamesville-DeWitt dropped their record down to 9-2 on Saturday, which also ended the team's 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Proctor Raiders by a score of 5-4. The Red Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Proctor, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.

For Proctor's part, the team relied heavily on JOSH MARTINEZ, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. MARTINEZ is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. RADHAMES EMANIEL was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jamesville-DeWitt will venture away from home to square off against Henninger at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Proctor, they will challenge New Hartford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
