Basketball Game Preview: Lincolnton Wolves vs. Bessemer City Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

Lincolnton is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out on the road to face off against the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Bessemer City took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincolnton, who comes in off a win.

In Friday's Canine Competition, Lincolnton came out on top. They skirted past Hough 66-63. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Josiah Guyton had a dynamite game, shooting 63% from the field to rack up 26 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Foster, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Bessemer City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 56-50 to Ashbrook. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their meetings with the Greenwave: they've now lost three in a row.

Lincolnton will need to focus on slowing down Tristen Gordon, one of several Bessemer City players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points. Raheem McClure was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Lincolnton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bessemer City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
