Crystal Lake South is 1-8 against Cary-Grove since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Gators will venture away from home to face off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m.

Crystal Lake South came into this matchup off a tough 28-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Hampshire by a score of 24-21 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Cary-Grove entered their tilt with Dundee-Crown on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 46-27 win over the Chargers. The Trojans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Crystal Lake South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cary-Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Crystal Lake South took a serious blow against Cary-Grove in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 50-7. Thankfully for the Gators, Peyton Seaburg (who rushed for 147 yards and three scores on only six carries, and also threw for 68 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
