Softball Recap: Ridgefield Park Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Ridgefield Park had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They blew past the Cliffside Park Raiders 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Scarlets, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ridgefield Park's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Cliffside Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Ridgefield Park will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cliffside Park: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
