Recap: First Flight Nighthawks vs. Northeastern Eagles

The First Flight Nighthawks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Northeastern by a score of 50-40. This was payback for First Flight, who suffered a 82-46 loss the last time these two teams met.

First Flight pushed their record up to 8-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Northeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Flight will take on Currituck County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeastern, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pasquotank County at 7:30 p.m.
