Serra Catholic is a perfect 6-0 against Northgate since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will head out to face off against the Flames at 6:00 p.m. Serra Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Serra Catholic earned a 9-6 win over Greensburg Central Catholic.

Kelly Morrissey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Keyara Watkins was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Natalie Morgart also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Serra Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Northgate hadn't done well against Brentwood recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Flames walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Spartans. 11 seems to be a good number for the Flames as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Johna Abramowicz made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Abramowicz was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Northgate got a massive performance out of Sa'Niyah Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gracie Auth, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Serra Catholic's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Northgate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Serra Catholic has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Northgate struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Serra Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Northgate when the teams last played back in April of 2019, winning 10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
