Meanwhile, Northgate hadn't done well against Brentwood recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Serra Catholic has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Northgate struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Serra Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Northgate when the teams last played back in April of 2019, winning 10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
