Football Recap: Bishop Lynch Friars vs. Bishop Dunne Falcons
Bishop Lynch gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-0 victory over the Bishop Dunne Falcons at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Friars just coasted through the last quarter.
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Matias Leon and his top target Ty Bradley. Leon threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes while Bradley picked up 61 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Bishop Lynch is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Midland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Lynch is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Bishop Dunne, they will challenge Nolan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Dunne will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
