Basketball Recap: Veritas Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Beckham Doyle and Lee Burgess

Veritas Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since January 31st on Monday. They lost 87-66 to the Carolina Day Wildcats. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Veritas Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lee Burgess, who went 11-for-17 on his way to 24 points in addition to six assists and three steals, and Beckham Doyle, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Burgess is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Easton Bishop was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

Veritas Christian Academy suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Carolina Day, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
