Softball Recap: Edmonds-Woodway Takes a Loss

Edmonds-Woodway lost against Stanwood back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Edmonds-Woodway lost 10-3 to Stanwood.

Edmonds-Woodway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Jones has posted since back in March of 2024.

Edmonds-Woodway's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Stanwood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Edmonds-Woodway will square off against rival Meadowdale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Stanwood is set to face off against their familiar foe Marysville Getchell at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
