Basketball Recap: Lakeland Takes a Loss

Lakeland lost against Walnut Grove back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lakeland Vikings fell 69-59 to the Walnut Grove Tigers. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Walnut Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeland will square off against Drexel at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Walnut Grove, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Walnut Grove Tigers challenge the Dadeville Bearcats at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut Grove is facing Dadeville at the right time seeing as Dadeville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
