Recap: Overhills Jaguars vs. Pinecrest Patriots
The Overhills Jaguars lost against the Pinecrest Patriots back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Overhills lost to Pinecrest on the road by a decisive 62-47 margin. Overhills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Overhills' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ej Stokes, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Corshon Stewart, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Overhills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pinecrest, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Overhills will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Terry Sanford at 7:30 p.m. Terry Sanford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Overhills is ranked 183rd). As for Pinecrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
