Baseball Game Preview: Columbus Falcons vs. Houston Hilltoppers

The Columbus Falcons will challenge the Houston Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Columbus fell victim to Warren Central and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Vikings. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Houston's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Clinton by a score of 5-4.

Takoda Harrell and Cason Moss stepped up to the plate in a big way. Harrell scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Moss scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Rob Hancock was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
