Volleyball Recap: Stryker Starts Season with Loss at Home

Stryker unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Center Tigers on Saturday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Stryker started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-19.

Liberty Center was led to victory by Chloe Mohler and Brooklyn Mohler. Chloe had 24 digs and two aces, while Brooklyn had ten digs and four aces. Chloe has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Maynhart, who had 12 digs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stryker will host Swanton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty Center, they will welcome Otsego at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
