Baseball Recap: Millburn Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seton Hall Prep, Millburn was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Livingston Lancers by a score of 6-1. This was payback for the Millers, who suffered an 8-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leo Dalton tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Millburn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brett Ploetner, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Ploetner has posted since back in May of 2024. Sawyer Stein was another, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Millburn now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Livingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Millburn will head out on the road to challenge South Plainfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Livingston, they will challenge Monroe Township at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
