Basketball Recap: Sage Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sage Creek lost against Victory Christian Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bobcats were outmatched by the Knights and fell 81-39. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-15.

Victory Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sammell 'DJ' Humphries out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists. Humphries is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Troy Tominna, who shot 82% from the field to rack up 24 points and seven rebounds.

Sage Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Sage Creek will head out on the road to take on Pacific Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet La Costa Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
