Volleyball Recap: Escondido Takes a Loss

Escondido was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the San Marcos Knights, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 25-10.

When it comes to explaining why Escondido lost, don't look at Quinton Tam. Despite the final result, he had 27 digs and one assist. Tam has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 14 times he's played.

Escondido's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for San Marcos, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Escondido nor San Marcos have any future games scheduled.
