Basketball Recap: Hopewell Vikings vs. Blackhawk Cougars
Hopewell lost against Blackhawk back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hopewell Vikings lost to the Blackhawk Cougars at home by a 41-24 margin. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Cougars are ranked 28th).
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maya Richburg, who posted seven points. Richburg has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.
Aubree Hupp was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 boards for Blackhawk. Another player making a difference was Alivia Rabick, who earned eight points and eight rebounds.
