After flying high against Widefield last Thursday, Coronado came back down to earth. The Coronado Cougars fell 3-1 to the Canon City Tigers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Canon City had a senior duo take command as Sol Manjarrez had 15 digs and two aces and Lauryn Vineyard had 14 digs and four aces. Manjarrez also set a new season high mark in assists with 20.
