Basketball Game Preview: Grovetown Warriors vs. Grayson Rams

The Grovetown Warriors will head out to square off against the Grayson Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Grovetown has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Grayson will arrive with 20 straight wins.

On Friday, Grovetown came up short against South Gwinnett and fell 42-32. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite their loss, Grovetown saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sanai McKenzie-Watson, who posted four points and eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.

Meanwhile, Grayson faced Archer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Grayson took down Archer 59-44.

Grayson's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.7 points. As for Grovetown, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Grovetown suffered a grim 64-41 defeat to Grayson in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Grovetown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
